What we handle

What your broadcast set-up includes

We prepare the transmission architecture, the multi-source control room and the distribution to your platforms, with checks suited to live production.

Survey & architecture

Identify transmission constraints, design the backups and clear the broadcast rights.

A prepared broadcast architecture
  • Survey & architecture: Preliminary technical study: site visit of the spaces, analysis of transmission constraints, design of the redundancy plan and clearance of broadcast rights. This phase lays the foundations of a reliable, compliant set-up.
  • Technical site visit and mapping of RF coverage areas
  • Redundancy plan for critical links (control room, transmission, streaming)
  • Broadcast compliance check: SACEM rights, GDPR, speaker releases
  • Video/audio signal flow diagram and formal backup plan
  • Multi-source control room: Broadcast preview/program vision mixer, multi-camera switching and genlock synchronisation of video sources.

Control room & monitoring

Centralise sources, live mixing and on-screen graphics in a supervised control room.

Direction managed live
  • Control room & monitoring: Real-time operational control: multi-source control room, live preview/program mixing, continuous monitoring of links and dynamic on-screen graphics. The control room centralises every broadcast direction decision.
  • Multi-source control room with broadcast preview/program switching
  • Live mixing and genlock synchronisation between cameras and computer sources
  • Continuous monitoring of bitrates, latency and audio levels in the control room
  • Live graphics: speaker lower thirds, overlays and PowerPoint integration
  • Multi-platform streaming: Simultaneous adaptive encoding to YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Teams and private platforms.

Streaming & distribution

Adapt the streams to each platform and monitor distribution for remote attendees.

Distribution suited to your audience
  • Streaming & distribution: Multi-platform distribution with adaptive encoding, fine bitrate management and permanent stream monitoring. This phase ensures a consistent experience across the whole remote audience, whatever the platform.
  • Simultaneous adaptive encoding to YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Teams
  • Multiple platforms in parallel, with a documented target latency per destination
  • Continuous stream monitoring and automatic failover to a backup link
  • Post-event delivery: broadcast masters, web versions, on-demand replay
  • Live graphics: Speaker lower thirds, dynamic overlays and real-time PowerPoint integration.
  • Broadcast compliance: Management of SACEM music rights, speaker releases and GDPR-compliant filming of attendees.
  • Filming: Produce usable footage, with direction matched to the pace of the event.
  • Streaming: Deliver to a remote audience with encoding, platform, monitoring and backup.
  • Broadcast: Add live production standards: control room, intercom, redundancy, graphics, transmission and quality control.

Our method

Our 4-Phase Broadcast Method

A structured method to make your broadcast filming reliable, from the technical survey to post-event delivery.

  1. Site visit in an empty auditorium with a laser rangefinder and tablet
    Site visit · empty auditorium

    Technical Survey & Site Visit

In-depth study of the spaces, identification of the best camera positions, analysis of transmission constraints and complete technical documentation.

    • Mapping of RF coverage areas & frequency selection
    • Calculation of SDI/fibre run lengths & placement of stage boxes
    • Video/audio signal flow diagram with planned redundancy
    • Formal backup plan in case of incident
  2. Structure layout plans spread out before the build

    Technical Architecture & Pre-production

Design of the broadcast set-up: multi-camera control room, streaming chain, on-screen graphics, coordination with the sound and lighting teams on the timeline.

    • Choice of vision mixer, encoders, codecs and bitrates per destination
    • Live graphics configuration (lower thirds, overlays, transitions)
    • Definition of the redundancy chase list & monitoring alert thresholds
    • Protocol coordination with the venue's sound, video and IT teams
  3. Technicians, cameras and equipment in front of the Microsoft AI Tour stage

    Tests & Validation on D-1

Validation in real conditions: RF propagation tests, encoder failover, multi-source synchronisation and technical rehearsals with the speakers.

    • RF propagation tests & adjustment of relay antennas
    • Genlock sync check between cameras and computer sources
    • Manual, then automatic failover to backup links
    • Technical rehearsal with the speakers and the room stage managers

    Live Show & Post-event Delivery

Real-time operational control with link monitoring, live mixing and supervision of streaming feeds, followed by delivery of the post-event package.

    • Permanent monitoring of bitrate/latency/audio levels in the control room
    • Real-time broadcast preview/program direction
    • Adaptive encoding and automatic failover to backup links
    • Delivery of broadcast masters + web versions + on-demand replay

Choosing the right supplier

The questions to ask, by pillar

  • Control room & monitoring
  • Streaming & distribution

The 4 key questions on the Survey & Architecture phase to assess your supplier's rigour before signing.

Is a redundant control room planned?Main control room + mirror control room with automatic failover. Without a backup control room, a vision mixer failure means the live show stops.
Are the critical links doubled?Fibre + 4G/5G as backup, or bonded LTE. A single link is a single point of failure for your whole live show.
Is there a documented failover plan?Ask for the signal flow diagram with alert thresholds and failover procedures. Without a written plan, it is improvisation under pressure.
Have the broadcast rights been cleared?SACEM for music, speaker releases, GDPR for faces. The client remains responsible: insist on the checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about event broadcast. Our expertise applied to your practical questions.

What is the difference between simple video filming and broadcast?

The difference lies mainly in three aspects:

  • Television quality: Picture and sound to television standards (4K, broadcast colorimetry, multitrack audio)
  • Technical resources: Full control room, dedicated team, redundant infrastructure and backup systems
  • Absolute reliability: Secure links, constant monitoring, automatic failover in case of incident

Unlike basic filming, which can suffer failures, broadcast guarantees total continuity of service.

How long does it take to install a complete broadcast set-up?

Installation depends on the complexity of the project:

  • Standard configuration: 3 to 4 hours for 1 to 2 cameras with a mobile control room
  • Major event: A full day for RF transmission, optical fibre and TV sets

We always include a testing phase to make sure everything works properly.

Can we stream live on several platforms at the same time?

Absolutely. Our partners have infrastructure that allows multi-destination streaming:

  • Social networks: YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X
  • Video conferencing platforms: Zoom, Teams, private platforms
  • Adaptive distribution: Encoding optimised for the bandwidth of each platform

We can handle several simultaneous streams without any problem.

What file formats do we receive after the event?

You receive a complete package of deliverables:

  • Broadcast masters: ProRes 422 HQ or DNxHD for archiving and TV broadcast
  • Web versions: MP4 H.264 optimised for streaming and download
  • Short clips: Highlights from 30 s to 3 min and a best-of of the event, if the option was taken.

All deliverable files are delivered as soon as possible after the end of the event.

What is the difference between filming, streaming and broadcast?

Filming produces the picture, streaming distributes it online, and broadcast adds a more complete live production requirement: control room, graphics, intercom, monitoring, redundancy and transmission quality.

What makes a broadcast secure?

The key points are stream redundancy, monitoring, intercom, network tests, encoding, backup plans and a clearly organised control room team.
